Suza Scalora is the best-selling author of THE FAIRIES, which was named by Newsweek magazine as, “one of the ten best picture books of the year.” Suza continues her journey into the unseen world in her new book, THE WITCHES AND WIZARDS OF OBERIN.

Suza is a modern day mythmaker, her work speaks to the alliance between Nature, Man and Myth. She blends photography and the written word to create a post-modern vision of ancient myths. In 1995, she launched her award-winning website MYTH.COM Mythopoeia-The Making of Myths, which began her journey into a world of magic and mystery. By producing a visual catalog of the unseen world, Suza opens a portal filled with fairies, wizards and other mythical creatures. Her mission is to create a dialogue with the reader about the possibility of another world coexisting alongside our world. The underlying message of each book is that there is more to life than meets the eye, and we must open ourselves to the magic that surrounds us everyday.
Suza has been profiled in periodicals and various newspapers across the country. She has appeared on numerous television shows, as well as a variety of radio shows. In January 2000, Saks Fifth Avenue NYC made a special tribute to THE FAIRIES by recreating each fairy from the book for their spectacular millennium Fifth Avenue windows.

For 10 years Suza has used her unique and conceptual style as a commercial photographer working with a diverse range of clients. In addition, Suza lectures and teaches on the subjects of photography, art and myth. She lives and works in NYC.
