Finally! After much deliberation all the entries in the FAIRY CONTEST have been selected. Here are the top ten entries on MYTH.COM. We would like to thank everyone for the tremendous response we received and we look forward to our next contest. Stay tuned for new contests, coming soon.

We judged based on the criteria of:
  -creativity and imagination
  -skill associated with age
  -emotional awareness of humanity, nature and myth

The ten finalist are Christopher Marks, Kim Turner, Jesus de la Cruz, Anastazia, Madeline Malino, Kimmy Yuno , Suzy Smith. The top three finalists will win a signed copy of THE FAIRIES and a signed Fairy Poster from Suza Scalora. Congradulations to: Robert Lew, Laszlo Borka, and Daniel Torosciky.

Below are the winning entries and a brief description of why we chose them.

Energy and life vibrate from the blood orange hair and pink organic skirt. She has the balance and grace of a ballerina, supported by an element of nature known for it's magical powers: the blue mushroom. Even in the photography, much love and time shines through.

Is that a fairy riding a bird on a rainbow over a snake like river in the wind and stars? Brilliant! We love that imagination, no matter what the age. The strong sun and living curly tree arms along with the girl wearing a green dress, representing nature and a purple scarf symbolising wisdom, flow freely in the wind. What a wonderful escape to freedom.

For the writers, send us your most enchanted and inspired tales of witches and wizards. Send your original story of witches and wizards to myth@myth.com. 1,500 words or less and one entry per person. Entries must be received by August 15, 2002. We will choose 10 to preview on MYTH.COM. The top 3 will WIN a signed copy of THE WITCHES AND WIZARDS OF OBERIN. All ages are welcome.

Halloween and all those Wonderful and Magical Costumes   9-15-02

Send us a photo of you in your magical! Halloween is right around the corner and that means fun. Send us a photo of your most magical, fairyesque, wizardly or witchy, pixiesque, costumes. And don't forget the angels.

E-mail your pictures to myth@myth.com using "Halloween" as the subject. We will post all the unique and fun costumes on our site under Community.
